StuART Storey

Bikes and cycling have always been a huge part of Stuart’s life, whether to get around East Yorkshire when growing up, or the daily commute in and around London and the occasional cycling adventure. He re-found art after 25 years selling soap. His work is inspired by experiences on and around bikes and can be a traditional acrylic painting, or a more unusual bike collage using recycled parts.

Our Story

Bespoke cycling inspired artwork

Bikes and cycling have always been a huge part of my life, whether to get around East Yorkshire when I was growing up, or the daily commute in and around London to wherever my job was based and the occasional cycling adventure.

After a 25 year career selling soap powder and ice cream, I rediscovered a passion for art & design as the inevitable midlife career crisis hit!

The pieces you see here are a product of that moment. I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoy creating them

Inspired by experiences

My work is inspired by my experiences on and around my bikes and can be a traditional acrylic painting, or a more unusual bike collage using recycled parts.

I love to use vibrant colours and work with an illustrative graphic style bringing the energy of movement and the unique perspective of the bike into my work.

Once when asked ‘so how would you describe your work?’, I paused and I said…'Vibrant realism with an edge'.
