Why do we charge for shipping on certain products and not others?
Some of the products on the Gallivant.bike marketplace are sent directly from the people that make them, and other products we keep at Gallivant Towers in St Albans and send from our office. We charge a flat £4 delivery charge for any product that we send from Gallivant Towers. Any product that is going to be sent from the brand has the delivery charge built into the price you see on Gallivant site. If you want to know where a product is being shipped from and therefore whether you will be charged for deliver at checkout on that product, refer to the shipping and returns details on the product listing page.
We charge delivery per order, rather than per item so if you have multiple products in your order and any one of them is being shipped from Gallivant Towers, you will be charged £4. By the same token, if you multiple products in your order and they are all coming from Gallivant Towers, you will only be charged the £4 delivery charge once.

How will I know if the product not coming from Gallivant has been sent?
As soon as your order is processed, if it contains a product that is being sent from the brand, we send the order details including your name, address and email to the brand. They will use those details to send you confirmation of the product being sent along with any tracking information. Should you not receive your item within 14 working days after you receive your order confirmation, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will chase is down like a pack of hungry cocker spaniels!

What is 'Standard UK Delivery'?
Where All UK deliveries are delivered 'Royal Mail Tracked'. We charge a flat £4 postage fee. Royal Mail Tracked means we are able to trace it during its journey to you. As it needs no signature, if it's small enough to fit through your letter box it will arrive that way or if you are not around your friendly postman will either leave your order with a neighbour or leave a card with further collection details. We aim to process and dispatch all orders within 1-2 working days of receiving them, and the same day provided we hold the items in stock and your order arrives before 2pm.
How long should my package take to arrive by 'Standard UK Delivery?
Royal Mail estimate 2-3 days for delivery, although it is not guaranteed (in many cases, packages actually arrive the following day). At busier times of year, or in exceptional circumstances, this time may be longer. Please note that we are only able to lodge a complaint with the Royal Mail for late delivery to UK addresses once 10 working days have elapsed since sending.
Will I need to sign for my delivery?
If your delivery is to the UK, then you, or someone known to you, will need to sign for your delivery when it arrives. If nobody is at the address to sign, a card will be left directing you to your nearest collection point. We do not leave packages as the delivery address in any circumstance. Sorry!
Can I check on the progress of my delivery using tracking facilities?
I'm afraid not... Royal Mail offers a Signed For service for UK deliveries sent using the options that we have chosen. This allows us to check if the package has been signed for, and you as the customer to check whether somebody else has signed for it. For UK deliveries, tracking adds disproportionately to the costs, and we have chosen not to offer this option rather than passing on the cost to our customers
Who pays for the postage of an item I am returning?
If you are returning goods from the UK that are faulty, damaged or you have received the wrong product then Gallivant will cover the postage costs of an item(s) that you are returning using the response service label included we give you. If you are returning the item due to a change of mind or mistaken order you will need to cover the cost of the return. All you need know on this subject can be found in our Returns Policy.
What do I do if I receive a faulty or damaged item?
Whilst we do everything we can to ensure your goods arrive in perfect conditions, even our incredible brands are not infallible. As well as this and things can occasionally happen en route. If this happens, we are extremely sorry. Please refer to our Returns Policy for full details on how to arrange for a replacement or a refund.
What do I do if I receive the wrong item(s) in my delivery, or an item(s) is missing?
Sometimes the wrong product may end up with the wrong person. These things happen. If you receive the wrong goods, or something is missing from your order, we are extremely sorry. Please refer to our Returns Policy for full details on how to arrange for a replacement or a refund.
Do you deliver to work addresses?
Don't be silly. Of course we can deliver to your permanent residential address or your where you work as long as that place is a permanent, recognized and registered address. If you want your delivery to reach you at work, you need to be sure that someone will be there to take receipt of the goods as the courier will deliver to the place not the person. If this is the case, just use your work address as the delivery address. If you're not sure it's probably best not to chance it as Gallivant cannot be responsible for your products being delivered to a work address and then going missing.
We do not currently offer international Deliveries
Do you deliver to PO Boxes or BFPOs?
No. We find it much more reliable to deliver direct to the real life person who either placed the order or for the . we do not currently deliver to these addresses

What packaging do you use to mail goods?
We continuously evaluate our packaging options versus the size, weight and shape of the products we're dispatching. One of our absolutely key promises is to use an environmentally friendly packaging when and wherever possible. As people that like to use our bikes in the "environment" we are extremely keen to help protect it, so wherever possible we 1) stick to as fewer packages per order as we can and 2) aim to use packaging that is recycled before use and/or biodegradable afterwards. This must always be balanced by our commitment to ensure your goods reach you in perfect condition.
